What Tevera does well, and where it falls short for APCCs
Your program picked Tevera, so your placement paperwork and your practicum hours already live there. It doesn't shut off when you graduate. Your account moves to alumni status. It produces the California LPCC weekly report and the Experience Verification report. Your supervisor signs both electronically. That's a real tool doing a real job.
The mismatch is about what the Board counts. No trainee hours count toward the 3,000. Under the 90-Day Rule, eligible post-degree hours can count from the later of the degree-award date and the date on the employer-required Live Scan form, if all rule conditions are met; otherwise they count from the APCC registration issuance date. For eligible post-degree experience, you need at least 1,750 hours of direct counseling inside the 3,000. No more than 1,250 hours can be non-clinical work. As an associate, at least one unit of supervision is required in each work setting in a week for which experience is credited, except for experience gained by attending workshops, seminars, training sessions, or conferences. A second unit is required in any week with more than 10 hours of direct client contact there.
