The problem

What Tevera does well, and where it falls short for AMFTs

Tevera does the AMFT basics right, and your practicum hours are already in it. It doesn't shut off when your degree posts. Your account moves to alumni status. It prints the California weekly report and the Experience Verification report for the LMFT track. Your supervisor signs them electronically. That's a real head start.

Where it falls short is who it's built for. Tevera is a placement and accreditation system sold to graduate programs across many disciplines. You get it through your program. Your login stays on your school email until an administrator changes it. So when your school shuts that address off, it takes your login with it. Alumni mode is self-service too. Your school's BBS track and the state track don't update each other. Lining them up is a manual step you run yourself. None of that is hard. It's yours to remember, across the years the Board is counting.

Then they start logging in SparkHours from the week they switch. A week your supervisor already signed doesn't stop being valid because you changed what you log in.

On the LMFT track, yes. Up to 1,300 hours earned before your degree can count toward the 3,000. No more than 750 of those may be counseling and direct supervisor contact combined. That makes the AMFT track the one where what your program already logged still matters after you graduate.

As a registered associate, every week you log experience at a setting needs at least one unit of supervision. You need at least two units in any week with more than 10 hours of direct client contact there. In practicum, it's one unit for every five hours of direct client contact at each setting. And never fewer than one unit in any week you log experience there. One unit is one hour of individual or triadic supervision, or two hours of group.
