3,000 hours, with 2,000 of them Clinical Social Work Services and 750 of those in psychotherapy
vs Track Your Hours

ASW → LCSW
E-signatures, dedicated fieldwork tracking, and Track Your Hours import. See what changes when you switch.
vs Tevera
AMFT → LMFT
Your practicum hours are already in your school's platform. See what carries into the AMFT phase and where the two differ.
APCC → LPCC
The platform keeps working after you graduate, but none of your practicum hours count toward the 3,000 on this track.
ASW → LCSW
Alumni access, why it doesn't cover the ASW track, and where SparkHours differs.
How it works here
The four parts that differ
SparkHours checks every week as you log it. These four are the parts that aren't the same everywhere.
Your supervisor signs from an email
No account, no password, no app to install. They get a link, read the week, and sign. The signature lands on the Board's form and you can download the signed copy any time after that.
Practicum and associate are two phases
Enter your graduation date and your associate registration date. The supervision requirements and the hour caps switch themselves on the right day. A training program can carry its own rules instead of the defaults.
Two tracks in one login
LMFT and LPCC sit side by side, each with its own totals, its own progress and its own forms.
An assistant that reads the handbooks
Ask what counts, what doesn't, and why a week looks short. The answers come from the Board's own published handbooks. It can see your hours too, so the answer fits your situation.
Before you pay
Five things to check on any hour tracker
Does it cover your track by name?
AMFT and APCC are covered nearly everywhere. ASW is the one that gets left out. Look for your track named on the product's own pages rather than assuming that "California" means all three.
Can your supervisor sign inside it?
The Board asks your supervisor to sign your log every week. It says weekly signing is what keeps you from losing hours if a supervisor isn't around to sign later. If the tracker can't collect a signature, you're exporting forms and chasing them another way, every week, for years. Check whether a supervisor needs an account of their own, and what it costs them.
Does it know which phase you're in?
Practicum rules and associate rules are different, and the switch happens on a date. A tracker that applies associate rules to your practicum weeks will tell you a week is fine when it isn't. Ask how it decides, and whether your program's own rules can be entered.
What happens to your records if you stop paying?
Find the answer before you buy, not after. Some products delete everything on cancellation. Whatever you use, print or download your signed weeks before you cancel anything.
How do you get a signed copy out?
You keep your signed weekly logs until the Board licenses you. It can ask to see all or part of them. Seeing your hours on screen is not the same as being handed the signed document. Check that the product will hand you one.
Our guide to the weekly log goes through every column the Board asks for, whichever product you end up using.
